What’s on in Munster for Cruinniú na nÓg 2021?

There are literally hundreds of free creative activities for young people to immerse themselves in during Cruinniú na nÓg 2021, it’s a great opportunity to try something new or showcase your talents.

In Munster most of the events are delivered by the local Creative Ireland Programme teams, with huge support from community based creative practitioners working in the areas of arts, heritage and STEAM.

The Speks Concert
A spek-tacular show of nursery rhymes and sing-alongs set to acoustic Irish music, plus vibrant watercolour illustrations and a performance by Canadian musician Charlie Hope.

CloudSong
A performance of songs and melodies to delight and engage very young children. Fiona Kelleher, and Caoimhín Vallely, come together to present new songs and melodies created specifically for very young audiences and their parents.

Clay Tiles Workshop
Collect your favorite items from nature, such as leaves, flowers, or shells, and use them to craft a beautiful clay tile while learning classic printing skills.

Foley Sound Effect Workshop
Crunch, squelch, chomp, and bang your way to a realistic soundtrack for your next film. This workshop will show you how to make amazing sound effects using household objects.

Clayotic Clay Workshop
Make a summer-themed clay model in this hands-on workshop. Children will leave with a permanent keepsake to enjoy plus tips and tricks for future model-making fun.

Collaborative Sand Art Project
Come on down to the beach to see a unique art piece created by 6th class students from Gaelscoil Portlairge, who’ve worked to conceptualise and create their artwork with guidance from local sand artist Sean Corcoran.
