A Programme of events to mark the Centenary of the Death of Percy French 1920-2020.

On May 9th and 10th a commemorative service will be held at St Catherine's Church with a Choir and Organist throughout the proceedings. this will be followed by a ceremonial wreath laying at the Percy French Memorial site. The Roscommon Arts Centre will play host to a celebratory concert staged by members of the Leitrim Percy French Society. A Tree Planting ceremony and Roscommon County bus tour will diversify the weekend.

An exhibition of paintings on loan from North Down Museum, Bangor, Co. down will be on display in King House August/ September 2020.

Roscommon has a long history of celebrating the works and life of Percy French as part of our cultural heritage and as part of our Culture and Creativity Strategy 2018-2022 we aim to foster a desire for people to have access to cultural provision locally.
