The Killaloe Chamber Music Festival will this year run from Thursday June 4th to Sunday June 7th. We are privileged to have St. Flannan's Cathedral as our venue with its unique and welcoming atmosphere in the heart of the picturesque and historic village of Killaloe.
Some of the finest Irish and international professional chamber musicians and opera singers will gather in Killaloe to perform and the programme will include a Chamber Opera Production, three main evening concerts (Children's concert, Emerging Artist concert and Late Night concert) and school workshops.
The Festival will include a concert solely organised for children and young musicians from the region. This concert will be an opportunity to showcase the extraordinary emerging talent and the development that has taken place in classical and new music within the community and in Ireland. The Children's Concert is free and involves students (age 6-18) and teachers from the local music schools (including the Munster Music Academy in Killaloe) and the Limerick School of Music. It gives young performers, both choristers and instrumentalists, the experience of performing to large audiences and aims to reach an audience as broad and varied as possible.
