Fingal County Council hosts a range of STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) activities with the aim of developing skills and knowledge to inspire early scientific exploration, discovery and learning. Our STEM Saturdays programme is dedicated to providing exciting STEM activities to help develop creative potential and critical thinking skills in our younger citizens.

Mechatrons are Ireland's leading creators of entertainment and educational robotics. They have consulted on and created amazing special effects and props for movies and television shows. In this exhibit, a variety of robots – big, small, autonomous and remote-controlled (and some just plain crazy) – are set to be on display. You may catch a glimpse of R2D2 or a Minecraft creeper. Or, if you're really lucky, you might even meet a 1-ex, a cyber life form from another planet who can walk and talk just like us.

Mechatrons Ingenius Machines takes place from 10am-4pm
