Community Engagement Through Street Arts
This project aims to develop a series of five short plays using the Táin Bó Cúailnge as a backdrop and performed at public events during the Tain March Festival 2019. This project both enables the creative potential of young people and enables creativity in our community.
Young people will spend two months developing scripts, acting skills in physical theatre, and skills in audience engagement. The plays are then set to be performed in Ardee, Knockbridge, Dundalk, Ravensdale, and Bush in Cooley.
Drama facilitator Kwasie Boyce is recruiting participants and training the group in scriptwriting, street performance, physical drama and audience engagement. This enables participants to develop new skills and grow in confidence, and will include the community in the dramatic performances.
