Ollph\u00e9ist <em>(Fabulous Beasts) <\/em>will expand on our shared tradition of storytelling through the creative use of technology. The project will be delivered in two phases, a workshop phase and a public presentation phase.<\/p>\n<p>Workshops will be held with both an artist facilitator and a local folklore historian to teach participants to create visual responses to folklore stories and myths from the Limerick region through animated video .gif creation. The project will culminate in a public presentation including a talk by a folklore historian and a public exhibition of .gifs taking place in various venues across Limerick city centre. The project will be led by Ormston House\u2019s projects curator Caimin Walsh.<\/p>\n<p><span><span><span>Ollph<\/span><span>\u00e9<\/span><span>ist<\/span><span><span> aims to engage the public with Limerick&#8217;s folkloric heritage through the creative use of modern technology. The project encompasses artist-led workshops, talks by a local folklore historian and a public exhibition. The project will provide an opportunity to learn and engage with new and creative ways of storytelling.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This project provides increased access to and participation in the arts. Workshops teach digital skills that are fun and relevant to everyday usage.
