The fair is documented in four of the seven pictures from the Lawrence Photography Collection between 1870 &#8211; 1914 (affectionately known as The Lawrence Collection Ireland 1890). To celebrate this \u2018130 year harvest\u2019 (1890 &#8211; 2020), the four Lawrence Collection Harvest Fair images will be recreated in 2020. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>We will work with a photography artist with experience in artistic recreations, providing a workshop to locals interested in honing their artistic photography skills, to be exhibited during the Glenties Harvest\u00a0Fair Festival and with the potential for a permanent display in the town at a later date.<\/span><\/span> <span><span>A researcher\/historian will also be identified to help research further information on the images and the Harvest Fair and a research project identifying a \u2018family tree\u2019 of each house on the Main Street will commence to capture local knowledge before it no longer exists.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span><span>The wider community will be asked to search for other images of past Harvest Fair Days and to help research the local knowledge.
