{"id":12048,"date":"2020-11-05T03:02:19","date_gmt":"2020-11-05T03:02:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/event\/golden-communities-the-heritage-of-our-places-templeport-golden-way\/"},"modified":"2020-11-05T03:02:19","modified_gmt":"2020-11-05T03:02:19","slug":"golden-communities-the-heritage-of-our-places-templeport-golden-way","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/en\/event\/golden-communities-the-heritage-of-our-places-templeport-golden-way\/","title":{"rendered":"Golden Communities \u2013 \u2018The Heritage of Our Places\u2019:  Templeport Golden Way"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span><span>Golden Communities \u2013 \u2018The Heritage of Our Places\u2019 is co-ordinated by the Heritage Office of Cavan County Council and supported by Creative Ireland.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>Templeport Golden Way is a rural walk in West Cavan.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span><span>As part of this project, three artists worked alongside the local community group, Templeport Development Association through a series of facilitated workshops and visits to the Golden Way.\u00a0Artists included a visual artist, a poet and\u00a0filmmaker, all three engaged with local people and encouraged them to look at their local way differently \u2013 the wonderful natural heritage, what makes this place special, unique, and\u00a0most importantly pride of a\u00a0place.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>Through the work of the three artists, the local community is enabled to view their Golden Way differently &#8211; capture the magic of their place creatively.\u00a0Working in partnership with the artists empowered the local community to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":12049,"template":"","class_list":["post-12048","event","type-event","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.9 -
