The aim of this proposal is to create a collaboration between the Irish Aerial Creation Centre Youth Performance Group (IACCYPG), the Irish Chamber Orchestra Youth Orchestra (ICOYO), and the L\u00edmrockers Cr\u00fa. Initially we will collaborate on a film piece which showcases the work of each group with an original soundscape and choreography. This will establish our method of working together and help to establish the way in which the groups will interact, and how parents and youth leaders will be involved in decision making and planning.<\/p>\n
After the launch event, planned for December 5th, a longer term programme of events, leading over another two years to a large scale outdoor performance as part of Culture Night and a five day collaborative youth gathering in 2022. The IACC will be the lead partner for the next three years and together we will continue the three-way creative collaboration with Limerick\u2019s Future Creators, developing their skills in performance on the ground, in the air, and in music. In this way we hope to encourage the young people to see themselves not just as students but young artists, Future Creators, learning how to work collaboratively and across art forms.<\/p>\n
This experience will help them build resilience and important life and work skills increasingly necessary in such uncertain times. We are confident this project will ensure a new generation of cultural leaders emerge from Limerick City and County to contribute to its thriving cultural community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":12076,"template":"","class_list":["post-12075","event","type-event","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
