Building on the success of Galway’s Great Read: Eil\u00eds Dillon Online Book Club, Galway Libraries, in association with Emily Cullen, present two\u00a0online book clubs to brighten up those dark winter evenings between December and March.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The first book club, Journeys in Words – from Galway to Dublin<\/em>,\u00a0aimed at an older age demographic, will explore\u00a0the work of two contrasting Irish writers of the last century:\u00a0Liam O\u2019Flaherty\u00a0and\u00a0Maeve Brennan.\u00a0The second book club, Women Writer’s of the West<\/em>, aimed at a general audience, will focus on\u00a0 contemporary female writers based in Galway City and County, namely Elaine Feeney, Nuala O’Connor and Mary Costello.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The book club sessions will be facilitated by poet and curator\u00a0Emily Cullen with guest writers\u00a0invited each week.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Membership is free but pre-booking via our Eventbrite page is essential to reserve a limited place.\u00a0<\/p>\n
