\u2019The T\u00e1in Tapestry\u2019 is an inter-county collaborative, community arts project, where 5 tapestries \/ banners will be created, each depicting a scene from the great epic \u2019T\u00e1in B\u00f3 Cuailgne\u2019 that relates to each of the five counties that the T\u00e1in March festival march through every year. Namely, Roscommon, Longford, Westmeath, Meath and Louth.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The lead artist responsible for designing the tapestries is Sophie Coyle. Sophie has a wealth of experience in a community arts setting and has worked on tapestries such as this before. A project facilitator will be appointed in each county and will work with a a group of sewers \/ needleworkers from the community based in each county and assist them to produce the tapestry based on the artists vision. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The tapestry will be completed and exhibited\u00a0in time for the launch of the T\u00e1in March Festival 2022. After the festival each county will place their tapestry on semi permanent display so it can be enjoyed by the general public. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
