Rachel N\u00ed Fhaolain, traditional singer, researcher and educator will curate and present The Courthouse Traditional Sessions, an online participatory programme of traditional song and story telling with special guests and will engage and connect with the whole community including Men’s Shed\/ KARE \/Active Retirement \/ICA\/ Local Schools\/CE Scheme Participants\u00a0via Zoom and will also screen live on YouTube to encourage wider community participation.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
The project will have a strong emphasis on\u00a0highlighting, promoting and archiving through recording, traditional song and stories from the elder\u00a0to the younger members of the community.\u00a0Stories of current times will also be documented so that in the future, stories will reflect this time of isolation, uncertainty and loneliness.\u00a0These sessions will capture a moment in time that has paused the world and changed daily life as we knew it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The project will consist of five sessions with one session every 5\/6 weeks beginning in June\u00a0and when Covid restrictions are lifted, a live session will be scheduled in the Courthouse to allow all virtual contributors and audiences to come together and celebrate this unique event.\u00a0<\/p>\n
