{"id":15416,"date":"2021-07-29T04:02:47","date_gmt":"2021-07-29T03:02:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/event\/inclusive-youth-visual-arts\/"},"modified":"2021-07-29T04:02:47","modified_gmt":"2021-07-29T03:02:47","slug":"inclusive-youth-visual-arts","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/en\/event\/inclusive-youth-visual-arts\/","title":{"rendered":"INCLUSIVE YOUTH VISUAL ARTS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span><span><span><span><span>The aim of this project is to give practical access to participation in music, art and digital skills to create \u2018Sound Stories\u2019- an innovative modern medium of storytelling. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span><span>This project will be a collaboration of young participants <\/span><\/span><\/span><span><span><span><span>with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), working creatively alongside their peers. The project will combine storytelling with visual art to create sound stories. It will connect young people creatively to transform perceptions of disability through creative collaboration. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span>A\u00a0<\/span>sound story<span>\u00a0is an audio visual representation of a story, using music and instrumentation to create\u00a0accompanying <\/span>sound <span>effects. While the elements of the story (including illustration etc) are created manually, the end result is a digital representation of a story. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\">The young participants will be given an opportunity to participate in workshops focusing on storytelling, multimedia art and music (exploring sound instruments) to support them in developing their ideas creatively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\">This project will be run through collaboration in small groups of 2-3, linking together in larger online meetings to bring the creative strands together and plan the outcome.
