Kerry County Council Dancer in Residence Catherine Young and The Welcoming Project will present this new dance film online on the Catherine Young Dance Facebook page<\/a> to celebrate Culture Night.<\/p>\n

The film, choreographed by Eilise Sullivan and scored by Music Director Martin Scharer, is inspired by the African proverb “It Takes a Village”, which stresses the importance of us coming together to support one another; something we all can relate to, given the past year. Since 2016, The Welcoming Project has been welcoming newcomers to Ireland (over 50% of those involved with the project have been in Direct Provision) by bringing people together, physically and culturally, through music and dance and focusing on what we share.
