Waterford"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span><span><span>The importance of outdoor performance space became particularly important during the worldwide Covid-19\u00a0 pandemic. Space for arts and for cultural and creative expression in a safe environment, particularly for youth and for older people is essential. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span>In this developmental project, Creative Waterford and Waterford City and County Council Roads Department have collaborated in creating an outdoors performance space set in a new urban park development, Dungarvan Fairlane park. The park will be set close to the town centre in a disused site. The space is adjacent to a wide range of places designed with community activation in mind \u2013 green space incorporating a skate park, cycling routes for young children, biking park, walking lanes, seating, suitable planting etc. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span>The performance area will have tiered seating in a horseshoe shape facing into a specific \u201cstage\u201d area with two level entrances to allow for disability access.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span>Creative Waterford will work with Waterford City and County Arts office to ensure the space is programmed with a wide variety of creative community and youth arts and is fully available to arts organisations and festivals to use as part of their activity.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":16681,"template":"","class_list":["post-16680","event","type-event","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.9 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Community outdoor performance space - Dungarvan, Co.
