Publication to document Mapping the Significant project<\/p>\n
This publication will document Martina’s O’Brien previously funded project on phenology. It will allow her to produce a high quality book in terms of design, print finish and print run. It will allow the book to be printed by speciality art book printers Downie Allison Downie and feature beautiful binding, tailor made inserts, hot foil on the cover and an ISBN number and barcode \u2013 all of which will go to create a beautiful bespoke book, transforming it into a real keepsake. Having a high quality physical record of this project will be the project\u2019s lasting legacy.<\/p>\n
The recording of annual life-cycle events in plants belongs to the primordial science of Phenology. Once the hobby of committed naturalists, it has now become an important part of monitoring the advance of climate change.<\/p>\n
Building on ideas of observation first explored in Quotidian, mapping the significant <\/em>will look to activated Phenological methodologies and practices throughout the county. This will be done through the creation of a novel network of phenological observers and the installation of digital wild- sensing cameras in five sites, resulting in the creation of a limited-edition physical publication and film.<\/p>\n These five sites include Carton Estate, Maynooth; Soearth Farm, Kill; Lodge Bog South, Lullymore West Nature Reserve and the artist\u2019s garden.\u00a0Cameras installed in 5 x sites for a period of 12 months.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":16832,"template":"","class_list":["post-16831","event","type-event","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
