Michael Keegan-Dolan<\/strong> <\/span>and Tea\u010b Da\u1e41sa have created another mythic yet timely production that acknowledges how life\u2019s opposing tensions and contradictions can on occasion come together and find resolution.<\/p>\n

M\u00c1M<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>is a meeting place between soloist and ensemble, classical and traditional, the local and universal.\u200b It brings together the virtuoso, Irish traditional concertina player\u00a0<\/span>Cormac Begley<\/strong>, the European classical, contemporary collective,\u00a0<\/span>s t a r g a z e<\/strong>, a young girl and twelve international dancers from the\u00a0<\/span>Tea\u010b Da\u1e41sa<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>company.<\/p>\n

The show was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production in 2020 and was nominated for two UK National Dance Awards in 2021. M\u00c1M follows on from the success in 2016 of\u00a0<\/span>Loch na hEala<\/em>\u2014his acclaimed reimagining of\u00a0<\/span>Swan Lake<\/em>. Tea\u010b Da\u1e41sa\u2019s distinct approach to creating M\u00c1M has been documented by film-maker Pat Collins in his film The Dance (2021).
\nCo-produced by Dublin Theatre Festival, Sadler\u2019s Wells, London and New Zealand Festival of the Arts with support from NOMAD and NASC touring network. \u200b
