Waterford Cultural Quarter is a local authority culture-led urban regeneration project that provides the opportunity for new economic and social outcomes through experimentation, creativity and innovation.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>URDF investment of \u20ac27m is supported by the WCQ Strategic Plan 2021-2025 vision \u201cto deliver inclusive and sustainable innovation and growth for the cultural and creative sectors of southeast Ireland\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>WCCC supports this vision and proposes to do the following:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>1. Create an interactive inventory of creative industry practice in Waterford and neighbouring counties of Wexford and Kilkenny, allowing for ongoing insights into local and regional creative opportunities and ecosystems, identification of future needs and analysis of impacts over time (Leveraging Three Sisters 2020 European Capital of Culture Creative Industries Report 2015)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>2. Design and implement a networking platform to facilitate collaboration and cooperation between creative industry practitioners;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>3.
