{"id":24909,"date":"2023-05-20T03:02:49","date_gmt":"2023-05-20T02:02:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/event\/caring-for-our-minds-and-hearts\/"},"modified":"2023-05-20T03:02:49","modified_gmt":"2023-05-20T02:02:49","slug":"caring-for-our-minds-and-hearts","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/en\/event\/caring-for-our-minds-and-hearts\/","title":{"rendered":"Caring for our Minds and Hearts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is a four-week series of classes for an invited audience of younger members (ages 8 &#8211; 12) of The Bright Side of Dyslexia Support Group, a support network for people with dyslexia and parents of children with Dyslexia in the Dublin 15 area.\u00a0The 75-minute classes will offer practical activities to participants to help them:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; be a great friend to ourselves<br \/>\n&#8211; grow our happiness<br \/>\n&#8211; strengthen our focus<br \/>\n&#8211; face obstacles<br \/>\n&#8211; be a good guardian of our thoughts<br \/>\n&#8211; connect with everything that we love and appreciate<\/p>\n<p>In each workshop participants will be encouraged to use their imaginations, move, draw pictures and tell stories.<\/p>\n<p>All of these activities are mindfulness-based and underpinned by research.
