Idir Dh\u00e1 Thr\u00e1 is a series of cultural events that aim to explore the resonances between art, music, language, landscape and psyche in North Clare. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The events bring the artistic and creative community together to provide an innovative platform for artists, musicians and thinkers to present their work in a supportive environment. We host our events across a number of venues and businesses in Ennistymon, utilizing buildings that are not traditionally viewed as performance spaces. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On Friday 19 May, join folk musician Mohammad Syfkhan at the Courthouse Gallery in Ennistymon. Mohammad is a singer and bouzouki player originally from Syria, now based in Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim. He blends songs and music from various traditions from the Middle East and North Africa to create his own blend of ecstatic party music. Including some modern takes of traditional and folkloric Kurdish songs as well as some original music of his own. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On Saturday 20 May, join piper Br\u00ecghde Chaimbeul at The Courthouse Gallery in Ennistymon. Scottland’s Br\u00ecghde Chaimbeul is a leading purveyor of experimental Celtic music. Her piping has earned her a BBC Young Folk Award and a BBC Horizon Award, and seen her perform for heads of state at the Cop26 climate conference. She\u2019s brought her instrument to a global stage, and has worked with a range of other artists – currently she can be heard on Caroline Polachek’s new single “Blood and Butter”.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
