{"id":25632,"date":"2023-06-30T03:02:51","date_gmt":"2023-06-30T02:02:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/event\/anam-gallery-opening-exhibition\/"},"modified":"2023-06-30T03:02:51","modified_gmt":"2023-06-30T02:02:51","slug":"anam-gallery-opening-exhibition","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/en\/event\/anam-gallery-opening-exhibition\/","title":{"rendered":"ANAM Gallery Opening Exhibition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span><span><span><span><strong><span>Rita Oates, Artist,<\/span><\/strong><span> new ANAM Gallery space, once a Coach house where its beautiful stone walls lend themselves to displaying art, will be brought to life this year.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span><span><span><span><span>In essence ANAM Gallery will create a space where art, creativity,\u00a0heritage and commerce can\u00a0all be enjoyed and celebrated.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span>The first exhibition is with two renowned International\u00a0<strong>Roscommon\u00a0<\/strong>Artists \u2013 Joe Caslin &amp; Una Burke, creating an amazing Meet the Maker experience and Question and Answer event.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span>Born in\u00a0Roscommon <strong>Joe Caslin<\/strong>\u00a0is an Irish street artist, art teacher and activist.\u00a0 He\u2019s best known for his beautifully rendered pencil drawings which manifest as towering pieces of street art.\u00a0 His highly accessible work engages directly with the social issues of modern Ireland, on\u00a0an unavoidable scale. The monochrome drawings Caslin creates live with us.
