Ard Voltas Art Space is Sligo\u2019s newest artists studio and exhibition venue based in Ballisadare, Co. Sligo.As Ard Voltas Arts is a new organisation, and \u2018Ard Voltas : Faoin Aer\u2019 (High Voltage : Open Air) as a project, was devised to introduce this new organisation and its ethos to the wider Sligo Community. Ard Voltas started out as studios with the aim of providing much needed support for working artists in the area. The natural evolution of the collective of ambitious, like minded practitioners has resulted in a greater vision for the Art Space and the community. The most \ufb01tting project for the Art Space now is to create two linked events in the form of exhibitions in various art forms, including showing the multimedia works of its member artists to the community. Two exhibitions have been devised, titled respectively, \u2018Hide\u2019, an exhibition from member artists of Ard Voltas on past and new work made in the studios and \u2018Allt\u00e1n\u2019, a collaborative event between the four artist members of Ard Voltas. The aim for this project Ard Voltas : Faoin Aer in itself is to invite the public in for the \ufb01rst time to the Ard Voltas Art Space. The members of the space have a vision to generate a culture of creativity for the community of Ballisodare and Sligo in general.
