To celebrate the centenary of the poet W.B. Yeats winning the Nobel Prize for Literature, the Yeats Thoor Ballylee Society has organized a number of events at Thoor Ballyee, his 14th century home near Gort, Co. Galway.<\/p>\n

This June will see the launch of an international poetry competition, followed later in the summer by concerts, talks, heritage events, and poetry readings. In October, a specially commissioned play will be produced about the Nobel Prize.
