The Co. Laois Arts Office with funding support from Creative Ireland are running a series of Cultural Mentoring Workshops with mentor Marie Brett. These workshops will include one-to-one mentoring for artists and also hands on group workshops. Marie will share her vast knowledge, experience and expertise with the Artists of Co. Laois.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Marie Brett is an award-winning visual artist making film, immersive installation and live events presented in both gallery and unusual off-site contexts. She has a highly developed social arts practice and works with people from predominantly health, community and social science contexts to create ambitious artworks that speak to issues of loss, trauma and social injustice, particularly when stigmatised and hidden from view.<\/span><\/p>\n
