{"id":29558,"date":"2024-04-04T03:03:19","date_gmt":"2024-04-04T02:03:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/event\/st-bridgets-cloak\/"},"modified":"2024-04-04T03:03:19","modified_gmt":"2024-04-04T02:03:19","slug":"st-bridgets-cloak","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/en\/event\/st-bridgets-cloak\/","title":{"rendered":"St Bridgets Cloak"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A behind the scenes film documenting the creation of an immersive Art Installation &#8216;Brigid&#8217;s Cloak&#8217; with artist Claire Hurley &#8211; Visual Artist and an accompanying \u2018Soundbath\u2019 by Composer Gary Keane.<br \/>The Installation was created through four intergenerational workshops with TY students and senior citizens from Bandon Day Care Centre.<br \/>The installation is an artists impression of the mythical Brigid Cloak, Ireland\u2019s female Patron Saint, created using the Cyanotype printing method, sun printing invented in<br \/>1842. The piece has been created using mainly recycled and organic materials, cotton, willow, aluminium and tea bag paper. Part of the installation is created using<br \/>willow, to shape a structure for the interior of the cloak.
