While Basant holds religious significance in Hinduism, marking the arrival of spring, it has become popular across all cultures in the region. During this time, the landscape is adorned with the vibrant yellow hues of vast mustard and sunflower fields, and locals traditionally dress in yellow while engaging in kite flying activities amidst the harvest season after a quiet winter.<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\">In Ireland, since 2022, the Basant Festival has been an annual event at Carrigaline Community Park in County Cork in support of Cork County Council.
