Spiral Creative Hub provides a dynamic learning space through which young people can interface with multidisciplinary art mediums and foster their creative talent on a monthly basis.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This is year two of the Spiral Creative Hub, having received funding from Creative Ireland in 2023. The Athlone Family Resource Centre (FRC) are the lead agent for the project and will work with a wide range of arts professionals to run special purpose workshops for young people to interact in and develop new skills at each monthly workshop within the FRC.<\/p>\n
Schedule of events will be as follows:<\/p>\n
April – Watercolour workshops (ages 5-13+)
May – Circus Skills Workshops (ages 5-13+)
June – Music and Movement Workshops (ages 5-13+)
July – Drama & Improvisation Workshops (ages 5-13+)
August – Stainless Workshops (13yrs+)
September – Sculpture and Figurine Making Workshops ( 13yrs+)<\/p>\n
Workshops will be delivered with trained facilitators who have been vetted by Athlone FRC.<\/p>\n
Athlone Family Resource Centre believe in the power of creative expression and in 2024 are looking to scale up their work and engage with children and young people living in the 5 RAPID communities in Athlone town.\u00a0<\/p>\n
