We invite you to join us at D\u00fa<\/span>n Laoghaire Rathdown\u2019s first Senior\u2019s Crafts Showcase. The event will showcase and celebrate crafting and creativity by older people in dlr as part of dlr Festival of Inclusion and Bealtaine 2024.<\/p>\n

The event will bring creative older people together to share their creations, skills and knowledge and gives the opportunity for older creatives to get to know each other and build and develop their community in dlr.<\/p>\n

Groups of local older crafts people will come together in one setting to showcase their creations, including from the ICA, knitting and crafting groups, Men\u2019s & Women\u2019s Sheds, art and ceramics groups, adult education groups and other visitors and members of the public. Through a series of workshops and demonstrations with specialised crafts people, we hope to inspire the founding of new crafting groups in dlr.<\/p>\n

Through this event we hope to encourage people of all ages to engage with creativity and crafting and to reap the benefits that craftmaking and the crafting community brings to ageing well, and to health and wellbeing in D\u00fan Laoghaire-Rathdown. Visitors and members of the public all welcome on the day.<\/p>\n
