The current renovation project under the Town and Village at the Teeling Centre will involve the rooms in the centre being painted once refurbished but due to our budget and costs we would not be able to add artwork as we already have to raise match funding of \u20ac37,000 to complete this phase of the work. We would be dependent on grant aid to fund such a project as the wall mural to enhance our new community\/youth room.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Teeling development committee are confident that our current renovation project will be completed in June and we will be all set for a vibrant new wall mural created by the youth in the community. For this project under the \u2018Creative Sligo Open Call\u2019 we will engage a local artist to organise a workshop for the youth of our community to be invited to create a \u2018What Teeling means to you?\u2019 wall mural in the Community\/Youth room. The workshop will take place in the newly renovated Community\/Youth room. This project will bring the local youth together in a creative way and it should encourage more local youth to meet at the centre for activities and creativity.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Teeling Development Committee was formed in April 2022 and we intend to continue to work together to make further improvements to the centre with the help of any grant aid we can receive as well as raising funds from local business and residents.
