We have developed the market infrastructure, with the assistance of Department of Agriculture grants and our own resources and we now have a thriving community market. \u00a0Musicians and crafters perform at our market for roughly 26 weeks of the year, generally from April to October. \u00a0To date, we have invited local artists to the market to perform and they have kindly agreed to do this, on a voluntary basis. \u00a0We also have four Christmas Markets in November and December, including a Night Market, close to Christmas. \u00a0We have musical entertainment at all of these events. We also invite choirs to attend the Market, to add to the ambience. \u00a0We have invited musicians and crafters from the locality and surrounding areas to the market and this adds greatly to the market atmosphere. \u00a0Musicians and performers also act as an added incentive for many tourists, to visit the market during the summer season. \u00a0We have collaborated with local entertainers for our family fun days and this attracts families and young children. \u00a0We have our underage football training programme in Nace O\u2019Dowd Park, on alternating months, and this increases footfall. \u00a0Achonry Farmers’ Market have a proven track record of delivery, in relation to this programme and are 100% confident we can deliver this programme from June to October, 2024. \u00a0As per the Creative Ireland vision for Sligo, we have a proven track record of strong leadership, in terms of the establishment and growth of this Market.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":30782,"template":"","class_list":["post-30781","event","type-event","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
