Cairde ran a series of of community art workshops which brought professional artists together with community groups to create a large scale \u00a0celebratory procession to close this years arts festival. \u00a0Artists worked with community groups including Cranmore Co-op, Foroige, Sligo Youth Theatre and Aremoja to create processional elements including lanterns, masks, large scale push puppets and also ran movement and processional workshops with culminated in a large scale procession which started at Sligo City Hall and finished at Queen Maeve Square. \u00a0Maeve Warrior Queen involved community members, volunteers, professional artists and professional production team members.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":32278,"template":"","class_list":["post-32277","event","type-event","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\nClosing Ceremony -
