As part of Phase 1 of its \u2018History of Galway in Objects\u2019 project, Galway City Museum was supported by Creative Ireland to engage artists to develop creative activities in response to several Museum objects and to trial educational and creative activities in the classroom (click\u00a0<\/span>HERE<\/span><\/a>). This was successfully completed, and the resources and activities are currently being reviewed by a working group of primary school teachers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Building on this, the Museum is now working to bring the material to life as a downloadable resource, which will be available on the Museum\u2019s website. In addition, the Museum will commission a series of \u2018slow-looking\u2019 videos with experts about the objects as an additional online resource and to create a small temporary exhibition of banners about the project for the Education Room at Galway City Museum, which would help to promote the project and its educational resources.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
