Storytelling is one of the oldest forms of entertainment known to humankind. Yet, it still remains one of the most immediate and vibrant. Nothing catches the heart and blows open the emotions like a tale well told. In Co Monaghan this Autumn, we will be telling such tales! The first ever Drumlin Storytelling Festival puts our oldest art form in its newest format. Over three days we will bring you a packed programme of storytelling events held in some iconic local locations. \u00a0It will give you a chance to spend time in the company of some of Ireland\u2019s best visiting storytellers and will also feature top quality local storytellers too.\u00a0<\/p>\n
For our first Storytelling festival, Drumlin Yarnspinners warmly welcomes our guest tellers Colin Urwin, Masako Carey, Grace Connolly and Madeline McCully. Prepare to be transported back, forward and sideways in time; to travel into other worlds; to go beneath the sea and to wherever else the storyteller\u2019s imagination takes us. Characters of all sorts, shapes and sizes are waiting to greet you. Just remember, it\u2019s not whether the story is true that counts, it\u2019s whether there is truth in the story!<\/p>\n
