The Wise Wool Project is having a celebration of all things Irish Wool at Kate Kearney\u2019s Cottage in the Gap of Dunloe. The \u2018Woolly Celebration Day\u2019 will be taking place on Saturday November 9th from 11am. With workshops, demonstrations, storytelling, screenings, discussion panels and music, the event will be a celebration and culmination for the Wise Wool Project.<\/span><\/p>\n

Join in on the celebrations in bringing together local fiber artists, sheep farmers and the wider community to better understand how to create something from this valuable resource that has been going to waste in Ireland. This is a unique event for those that are interested in creating a solution to the current wool waste dilemma. <\/span><\/p>\n

Here’s the schedule for the day:<\/span><\/p>\n

11.00am   – All ages workshop<\/span><\/p>\n

12.00pm – Storytelling <\/span><\/p>\n

1:30pm    – Demonstrations\/Lunch<\/span><\/p>\n

3.00pm  – \u2018Notes From Sheepland\u2019 movie<\/span><\/p>\n

4:15pm   – Coffee\/Tea break<\/span><\/p>\n

4:30pm  – Panel Discussion <\/span><\/p>\n

6.00pm  – Music<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a family free event, but booking is required for the felting workshop and the movie. <\/span><\/p>\n
