Umha Aois is a collaborative archaeology symposium drawing inspiration from Kerry\u2019s Dark Sky Reserve to highlight the intersection of archaeology, astronomy and cultural heritage. It will bridge the past and present and inspire artistic innovation, historical inquiry and community engagement.

15 Local, national and international artists, researchers and practitioners will engage with members of the local community, local schools and visitors to the area, through live demonstrations, interactive exhibitions and hands-on workshops. Attendees will gain firsthand experience of prehistoric metalworking, creating replicas of significant artifacts such as lunulae, sun disks, and sunflower pins\u2014objects that played a crucial role in Ireland\u2019s ancient solar traditions.

On Culture Night (19th September), there will be a special night-casting event with live music, offering the community an immersive and atmospheric experience which blends ancient techniques with contemporary creativity.<\/p>\n
