During these years, \u201cchildren develop linguistic, cognitive, social, emotional and regulatory skills that predict their later functions in many domains\u201d Travick \u2013 Smith 2004, Woolfod and Perry 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Children have an inherent connection and attraction to the outdoor world. Early years is a hugely significant time of development for children and its essential Early Year practitioners nurture this by enhancing children\u2019s sense of freedom, fun and opportunity.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Participants<\/p>\n<p>The collaborative partnership will include<br \/>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Children who use the service and parents\/carers or guardians.<br \/>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The staff of Sligo Springboard Family Support Service.<br \/>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A children\u2019s storyteller and writer.<br \/>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A visual artist.<br \/>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A woodland schoolteacher\/ eco artist.<\/p>\n<p>The project will run between January \u2013 March 2025 and it will divided into 5 stages.<br \/>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Engagement and Participation.<br \/>Based on the \u201cLundy Model of Participation\u201d, consultations with children and their parents\/ carers\/guardians will be conducted in spaces, where all feel comfortable in themselves. All opinions, experience will be valued and encouraged.
