{"id":36233,"date":"2025-06-13T03:02:48","date_gmt":"2025-06-13T02:02:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/event\/fingal-future-visions-with-author-illustrator-chris-judge\/"},"modified":"2025-06-13T03:02:48","modified_gmt":"2025-06-13T02:02:48","slug":"fingal-future-visions-with-author-illustrator-chris-judge","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/en\/event\/fingal-future-visions-with-author-illustrator-chris-judge\/","title":{"rendered":"Fingal Future Visions with Author\/Illustrator Chris Judge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>For this exciting project, children\u2019s author and illustrator Chris Judge (<\/span><em><span>The Lonely Beast, The Great Explorer, Evil Duck and the Feather of Fortune<\/span><\/em><span>) is collaborating with four primary schools across Swords and Malahide, to create an artistic vision of what Fingal, and the world, will look like twenty-five years from now.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Through the lens of advancements in technology, the environment, community life and their personal dreams, this time-capsule project sparks imagination and critical thinking while allowing each student to contribute to a collective masterpiece.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The final result will be a vibrant, large-scale mural collage that reflects their hopes, innovations and possibilities. This project is paper-based and fully sustainable and recyclable. It will be unveiled in the Chapel at Swords Castle on Cruinni\u00fa na n\u00d3g 2025 before being put on display in The Atrium in County Hall, Swords from Monday, 16th June, before commencing a tour of Fingal Library branches.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Chris Judge is an illustrator, artist and children&#8217;s picture book author from Dublin, Ireland. Since 2011 he has written and illustrated over 35 children&#8217;s books and delivered large-scale public art projects.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>The artwork will be on display to the public in the Atrium of County Hall, Swords from Monday, 16th June until Friday, 27th June 2025.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Opening Hours:<\/strong><span> Monday &#8211;
