Along the way, Mike will share tales of his childhood, his mentors and the role that straw hats played in the Biddy traditions, part protective charm, part celebratory dress and always a mark of belonging.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Whether you&#8217;re drawn to the tactile experience of craft, the desire to preserve a vanishing art, or simply the joy of working with your hands, this workshop offers a rare opportunity to connect deeply with Ireland\u2019s cultural roots. Participants leave not only with a handmade object, but with a newfound appreciation for the labour, love and lore woven into everyday objects of the past. Places are limited to ensure each person gets individual guidance.
