The Northside Misfits are ready to develop a Pilot . . . working title . . . What About Me?<\/p>\n
This piece, influenced by real life experiences of the drama group, is based on an original collaborative script. The plot centers on the main character who discovers that she will be evicted from her home. She tries to seek help from the housing department but time is not on her side. She tells her friend and together they come up with a drastic plan. Several members of the group are drawing from their own experiences of homelessness. <\/span><\/p>\n The Northside Misfits Community Drama Group embody and promote creativity to its highest standards. The participants creative process nurtures and builds confidence, a process which is evident throughout the production and delivery of their work.<\/span><\/p>\n Through self expression and imagination, the group have opened their minds to the creative world. More importantly, the Misfits Drama Group have promoted culture and creativity in their community. Group members are from the communities of Ballynanty, Moyross and Thomondgate. Communities which are impacted by high levels of deprivation, poverty and disadvantage. The group base their work on the real life experience’s of those living in their communities.
