Spanish Armada Ireland will be celebrating a new publication of Francisco de Cu\u00e9llar\u2019s letter, which will be launched in Madrid on October 30th 2025, along with new material as well as articles, and photography. To commemorate this important event, Spanish Armada Ireland would like to broadcast a recorded event from Sligo in line with the date of the Madrid launch, featuring readings and music relating to De Cu\u00e9llar, from Sligo.<\/p>\n
There will be a spoken word internet broadcast, in the style of a radio play, which will focus on the text of Francisco de Cu\u00e9llar, relevant to the Sligo area. It will involve the narration of excerpts of the text of De Cu\u00e9llar\u2019s letter (in English and Spanish) as well as commissioning a local script writer to create additional material that will be apportioned to other local speakers who would take the roles of central characters mentioned in the letter such as Brian O\u2019Rourke, Tadhg \u00d3g McClancy, etc. The musical content would interlink the spoken word.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":38475,"template":"","class_list":["post-38474","event","type-event","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
