Rooted and Rising is a participatory cultural project for migrant mothers with young children (0\u20135) living in Galway City. The project creates a welcoming space for connection, creativity and shared experience, particularly for those navigating early motherhood without established local support networks.<\/p>\n
Alongside the workshops, the project will use a participatory storytelling approach, capturing mothers\u2019 lived experiences of navigating motherhood across cultures in Ireland. Through informal conversations and optional one-to-one reflections, key themes around identity, belonging and everyday life will be documented, fostering a sense of meitheal (community connection) among participating families.<\/p>\n
Taking place in summer 2026 across community and outdoor settings in Galway City, Rooted and Rising aims to support wellbeing, reduce isolation and foster a sense of belonging, while ensuring the voices and experiences of mothers raising a new generation of Irish children are heard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":41967,"template":"","class_list":["post-41966","event","type-event","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
