Artist Tess Leak will collaborate with Studio Ballydehub on an ambitious two-part project over two years. Studio Ballydehub are a highly creative group of adults with who attend CoAction in Ballydehob. The group has worked with Tess on several short-term creative projects over the past few years, resulting in their participation in the Ballydehob Jazz Festival Parade and exhibitions in local libraries. They also brought together their shared love of puppetry and music in performances for their peers in the CoAction hub in Bantry. The group now look forward to being given the opportunity to work steadily towards two ambitious events. <\/p>\n
In 2026, this work will culminate in an exhibition in the Working Artist Studios, Ballydehob. The group will collaborate with Tess <\/span>to create new work for the exhibition, building on their previous puppetry and mask-making practice and including the creation of an installation housing the puppets and masks. The group will also co-host an exhibition opening and tours of the exhibition. In 2027, the group will create a performance incorporating their original songs in collaboration with professional musicians Camilla Griehsel and Maurice Seezer, performed as part of Skibbereen Arts Festival.
