{"id":42095,"date":"2026-07-14T13:24:20","date_gmt":"2026-07-14T12:24:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/event\/music-in-the-afternoons-an-ceathru-rua\/"},"modified":"2026-07-14T13:24:20","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T12:24:20","slug":"music-in-the-afternoons-an-ceathru-rua","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/en\/event\/music-in-the-afternoons-an-ceathru-rua\/","title":{"rendered":"Music in the Afternoons &#8211; An Ceathr\u00fa Rua"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>Music in the Afternoons is back!<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>For the fourth year in a row, Galway County Council is teaming up with Music Connects to provide musical entertainment, community, and connection to the residents of our county&#8217;s nursing homes. <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Traditional Irish Music group, Galvian Way will visit \u00c1ras Mhic Dara, An Ceathr\u00fa Rua to perform their lively, uplifting set.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>These sessions have proven extremely popular with residents, staff, and family members joining in the fun as they share a love for music. <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>These visits will take place at 1pm on the following dates:<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><\/span><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Saturday August 8th<\/li>\n<li>Saturday August 15th<\/li>\n<li>Saturday August 22nd<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There is no booking required for this programme.
