<span><strong>Rosalind<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Fanning<\/strong><\/span> <span>presents<\/span> <span>an<\/span> <span>introduction<\/span> <span>to<\/span> <span>the<\/span> <span>life<\/span> <span>and<\/span> <span>work<\/span> <span>of<\/span> <span>poet,<\/span> <span>mystic<\/span> <span>and<\/span> <span>author<\/span> <span><strong>Susan<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Langstaff<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Mitchell<\/strong>,<\/span> <span>whose<\/span> <span>centenary<\/span> <span>is<\/span> <span>being<\/span> <span>commemorated<\/span> <span>this<\/span> <span>year<\/span> <span>in<\/span> <span>both<\/span> <span>Birr<\/span> <span>and<\/span> <span>Dublin.<\/span> <span>The<\/span> <span>event<\/span> <span>will<\/span> <span>also<\/span> <span>feature<\/span> <span>a<\/span> <span>musical<\/span> <span>interpretation<\/span> <span>of<\/span> <span>one<\/span> <span>of<\/span> <span>Mitchell&#8217;s<\/span> <span>poems<\/span> <span>performed<\/span> <span>by<\/span> <span>songwriter<\/span> <span><strong>Remco<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Jacobs<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The<\/span> <span>walking<\/span> <span>tour<\/span> <span>will<\/span> <span>take<\/span> <span>place<\/span> <span>on<\/span> <span><strong>Tuesday<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>4<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>August<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>at<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>2.30pm<\/strong>,<\/span> <span>meeting<\/span> <span><strong>outside<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Birr<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Post<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Office,<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Emmet<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Square<\/strong>.<\/span> <span>From<\/span> <span>there,<\/span> <span>participants<\/span> <span>will<\/span> <span>follow<\/span> <span>a<\/span> <span>route<\/span> <span>through<\/span> <span>Birr<\/span> <span>to<\/span> <span>Camcor<\/span> <span>Park,<\/span> <span>crossing<\/span> <span>the<\/span> <span>river<\/span> <span>and<\/span> <span>returning<\/span> <span>through<\/span> <span>the<\/span> <span>town,<\/span> <span>with<\/span> <span>stops<\/span> <span>for<\/span> <span>readings<\/span> <span>of<\/span> <span>six<\/span> <span>of<\/span> <span>Mitchell&#8217;s<\/span> <span>poems<\/span> <span>along<\/span> <span>the<\/span> <span>way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>At<\/span> <span>approximately<\/span> <span><strong>3.30pm<\/strong>,<\/span> <span>the<\/span> <span>tour<\/span> <span>will<\/span> <span>arrive<\/span> <span>at<\/span> <span><strong>St.<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Brendan&#8217;s<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Church<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>of<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Ireland<\/strong><\/span>, where the event will continue with <span>a<\/span> <span>programme<\/span> <span>of<\/span> <span>performed<\/span> <span>poetry,<\/span> <span>two<\/span> <span>of<\/span> <span>Mitchell&#8217;s<\/span> <span>satirical<\/span> <span>songs,<\/span> <span>and<\/span> <span>congregational<\/span> <span>singing<\/span> <span>of<\/span> <span>two<\/span> <span>or<\/span> <span>three<\/span> <span>hymns<\/span> <span>inspired<\/span> <span>by<\/span> <span>ancient<\/span> <span>Irish<\/span> <span>poetry,<\/span> <span>some<\/span> <span>of<\/span> <span>which<\/span> <span>may<\/span> <span>have<\/span> <span>been<\/span> <span>sung<\/span> <span>at<\/span> <span>her<\/span> <span>funeral.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The<\/span> <span>event<\/span> <span>will<\/span> <span>conclude<\/span> <span>with<\/span> <span>refreshments<\/span> <span>served<\/span> <span>at<\/span> <span><strong>St.<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Brendan&#8217;s<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Church<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>of<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Ireland,<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Oxmantown<\/strong><\/span><strong> <\/strong><span><strong>Mall<\/strong>.<\/span> <span>The<\/span> <span>indoor<\/span> <span>programme<\/span> <span>will<\/span> <span>last<\/span> <span>approximately<\/span> <span>30<\/span> <span>to<\/span> <span>45<\/span>
