Children are invited to write and submit original poems inspired by a chosen theme, encouraging self-expression, a love of language, and engagement with local culture and heritage. Over the years, the competition has become a valued opportunity for children to showcase their talents and share their unique perspectives through poetry.<\/p>\n<p>The competition culminates in a special celebration event, where children, families, teachers, and members of the community come together to recognise and celebrate the young poets&#8217; achievements. Participants are invited to read their work, receive certificates and prizes, and enjoy an uplifting event that highlights the importance of creativity, storytelling, and artistic expression.
