Working from the Craobh Eo workshop in the Old Schoolhouse, Aghamore, a core group of seven members will craft each chair entirely from scratch using native Irish timber and the organisation&#8217;s existing woodturning equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The project will celebrate traditional craftsmanship, heritage skills, and sustainable woodworking practices while providing participants with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of furniture design and construction. Through hands-on learning and collaboration, members will preserve and promote a valuable aspect of Ireland&#8217;s woodworking heritage.<\/p>\n<p>Completed chairs will be showcased at a range of local and national events, including <strong>Mayo Day<\/strong>, the <strong>National Ploughing Championships<\/strong>, local agricultural shows, visits to national schools, and the <strong>Techno Teachers National Conference<\/strong>.
