A series of theatre workshops will be delivered that will be inclusive and explore issues<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>around identity, allow our crew members to have a voice, to tell their story and give them the\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>opportunity to express themselves through drama. Our crew will benefit enormously by\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>working alongside professional artists Anna Simpson , Fiona Keenan O’Brien, Anthony\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Kinahan and Leah Rossiter from Quintessence Theatre Co. The culmination will be a piece of theatre for family and friends <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>initially but we would hope to further\u00a0 develop the piece for an audience. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For our crew the\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>project\u00a0 will also\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>help develop self-esteem and communication skills.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>This project will help remove the barriers\u00a0that prevent young adults with ID progressing and\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>developing as individuals and will enhance the creative potential of our crew.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Our project contributes to Creative Louth and the two specific pillars by :<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

1. Enabling\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>the creative potential of a community of young adults with intellectual\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 disabilities\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>thus further enabling creativity in the disability\u00a0community<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Focusing on provision of high quality arts experiences\u00a0and programmes for a community<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
