‘Immersion & Inclusion’ is a series of 3 projects that develops performances to connect creative practitioners with young people and their communities that often find themselves outside creative performance and engagement. Nenagh Arts Centre aims to support a number of artists to develop their performance into an inclusive and engaged piece for these audiences and their families. This may include elements such as Sign Language, Sensory Experience or even non verbal Communication with a view to touring to regional venues across Ireland. In 2019 Nenagh Arts Centre introduced a series of Relaxed Performances as part of their programming and are passionate about supporting the creation of work that enables young people and their families to be more engaged with the arts. They strongly feel that not only do we need to increase access to the arts but more importantly to increase participation, engagement and inclusion. There will be an open call for Creative practitioners whose work currently engages with young audiences. The engagement will focus on children aged 5-12 and their families.
