The Museum will have a first class display of life in the community and it will encourage an increasing number of local visitors as well as tourists, ensuring the greatest possible access to our culture and creativity. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\" xml:lang=\"EN\" xml:lang=\"EN\"><span><span>A professional photographer will be employed to spend several days in the village, taking snapshots of life over a period of a few months. This project will ensure that the museum has a permanent record of events in the life of the village on various days over a period of several months. This will provide a photographic record of example: heritage sites in Glenties for the Famine Graveyard, the site of the old workhouse and fever hospital, the old belltower, the ringfort at Kilraine, and the Courthouse built in 1843 by the Marquis of Conyngham. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\" xml:lang=\"EN\" xml:lang=\"EN\"><span><span>This project will also give a record of daily life in Glenties, available for generations to come. Traditions associated with the county such as music and dancing will also be recorded.
