Fighting Words Kerry linking young and older people in the community through an interdisciplinary creative programme of storytelling, creative writing, traditional music &amp; song, technological design and film workshops.\u00a0 Locally based professional writers, artists, musicians and film makers will be appointed to direct the workshops and oversee the production of the work created.\u00a0 The aim of the project is to share stories and create a performance based programme to connect the local community with their history, local environment, literary &amp; cultural heritage, the spoken &amp; written word and with each other.\u00a0 It will encourage the participants to study and appreciate the spoken &amp; written word, the nature and power of performance and the mutable \u2018living\u2019 space that is their local museum.\u00a0 The project will culminate with a showcase event where participants will invite their families and their local community where the work produced will be performed and displayed.\u00a0 It will encourage the people living in Listowel and beyond to feel a sense of ownership of their museum and the rich cultural heritage of their region.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":9433,"template":"","class_list":["post-9432","event","type-event","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.9 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>The Together Project - Creative Ireland Programme<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"A collaborative arts based project by Kerry Writers\u2019 Museum &amp;
